What’s in your gear bag? RMU Diam’s and Guyot’s, Flylow Higgens Jacket and Chemical Pant, Smith Variant and I/O, and last but not least, NTN boots and binders!

2008/2009 recap and best memory? Filming in the Wasatch with The Freeheel Life and Powderwhores was probably a highlight. Big jumps in Little Cottonwood are pretty neat.

2009/2010 outlook and goals? Progression Capture!

What is your ski style – how would you describe yourself? Powerful and fluid.

Your ideal day on the mountain is… Depends on the snow, but embracing versatility in the face of variability rhymes true most days! 

Do you have a competition day superstition or ritual you stick with? Nope

Where do you find clarity and inspiration? Yoga, meditation and a pretty girl’s smile

What’s your favorite trick, and one you want to work on? Underflip true tail

What was the moment of the biggest breakthrough in your skiing progression? Switch Sevens

Before you got all your gear and lift tickets for free, how were you able to fund your skiing? Slingin’ grub and Booze 

How did you get your first sponsor? It was a combination of my dynamic sense of humor and busting sweet moves in front of the right people at Smith.

What do you want your legacy in the ski industry to be? Friendly optimism mixed with respectable talent.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Was skiing always the plan? Some aspect of Sport was in the plan but skiing really took hold as a teen.

Where are you in 10 years? Smiling and being extreme.

How important is music for you in a skiing video? Super-Duper

What’s your favorite music track for a video part, if you could choose any? Anything Michael Bolton!

What’s your favorite Ski Movie ever and why? Probably a tie between Ideas and Signatures

Favorite video part ever and why? Most of Pollard’s and Candide’s segments because they’re Pollard and Candide

Your ride? ’83 Toyota Tercel Wagon 4wd that I traded a pair of skis for in college. 338,000 miles and 30 mpg’s!

Pets? Husky/Wolf named Tahkeen, he’s pretty much the shiz

Tell us about a day in the life: Oatmeal and Coffee then off to the slopes. Post slopes gym trip to climb and ride the bike and do yoga. Post gym= playing tunes and reading.
