2008/2009 recap and best memory?: Going to the Two Plank shoot @ Eclipse Snow Park, I haven’t felt that good on my skis going into a photoshoot in so long it felt so good it led to a great trip up in Hood and a good booster for this upcoming season.
2009/2010 outlook and goals?: Progress the kids that I coach as much as possible, Film as much as possible, and I would like to get a double to snow.
What is your ski style – how would you describe yourself?: I thrive on style I don’t like to spin over nine. I just like to make everything look as good as possible.
Your ideal day on the mountain is…: Shredding waist deep pow all day
Do you have a competition day superstition or ritual you stick with?: When I was competing, I would just try to imagine that it is another day out on the hill killing it with my friends. And make sure that I’m always having fun.
Where do you find clarity and inspiration?: Being out on top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere
What’s your favorite trick, and one you want to work on?: Cork 5 or Rodeo 5, and I want to get Cork 3 to Cork 5 real bad!!
What was the moment of the biggest breakthrough in your skiing progression?: The year I came back from a span of 3 knee injuries and 3 surgeries It just was good to be back on skis but better to know that my knee was finally back.
Before you got all your gear and lift tickets for free, how were you able to fund your skiing?: MOM and POP and working full time at Christy Sports during the winter
How did you get your first sponsor?: I had skied at a Kahula Halfpipe Jam in Keystone and at the after party Tait from Dynastar came up to me and gave me his card, and told me to call him during the summer and he’d send me some skis and bindings. I couldn’t believe it!
What do you want your legacy in the ski industry to be?: I am the OCHO I just want to be remembered that I was always myself and that I’ve worked so hard to be where I am at just to be able to ski period. Also just my love and passion for this sport
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Was skiing always the plan?: Honestly skiing wasn’t my first choice I wanted to be a professional baseball player and after freshman year in high school Skiing took over my life
Where are you in 10 years?: Running RMU SKIS and hopefully still slaying

How important is music for you in a skiing video?: It is one of the most important factors if the music sucks the video is going to suck even if the skiing is good
What’s your favorite music track for a video part, if you could choose any?: Hot like sauce or More important than Michael Jackson by DJ Pretty Lights
What’s your favorite Ski Movie ever and why?: Def Has to be Teddy Bear Crisis, Just the way that movie was laid out, the skiing in it, and the way it was filmed and edited. I think it revolutionized the way we think of ski films.
Favorite video part ever and why?: Such a hard question, either Tanner’s section in Teddy Bear Crisis or Travis Rice in That’s it That’s all.

Tell us about a day in the life: Wake up @ 7 Head to work ski with the kids from 8 to 12 during the week and 8 to 3 on the weekends. Then go shred backcountry.
What’s in your fridge?: Coors Original, Steak, Teriyaki Sauce, Hot Sauce, Pb & J, veggies, fruit
Any overseas horror stories?: Not really, been pretty lucky
