The Essentials

What’s in your gear bag? Always bring the helmet, extra gloves, can’t forget the I-Pod and headphones, crowbars

2008/2009 recap and best memory? Freshmen year of college, forming the new crew to shred Stowe with, making Mount Snow Open finals, filming for New Intel’s Metropolis!

2009/2010 outlook and goals? I’m always trying to progress, make my tricks smoother with better grabs, switch dub flip??

What is your ski style – how would you describe yourself? Keeping things simple and smooth, making it look easy!

Your ideal day on the mountain is… Blue bird skies, shredding Stowe or Mount Snows park with my homies.

Do you have a competition day superstition or ritual you stick with? Apparently eating pigs in a blanket is a lucky breakfast food, definitely going to do that more often.

Where do you find clarity and inspiration? Weezy.

What’s your favorite trick, and one you want to work on? Favorite trick would have to be the switch rodeo japan, super easy trick.  I got my eyes on a switch double flip, the east coast has to build bigger jumps!

What was the moment of the biggest breakthrough in your skiing progression? Learning the backflip, the foundation for all other flips and corks.

Before you got all your gear and lift tickets for free, how were you able to fund your skiing? My dad always loved to hook me up with skiing equipment – passing his passion for skiing along to me.

How did you get your first sponsor? Sent out a couple emails with a video, crossed my fingers while waiting to hear back.

What do you want your legacy in the ski industry to be? I would love to be known for just keeping the sport fun, there should be no stress out on the mountain.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Was skiing always the plan? As a young lad, I wanted to be a professional soccer player, competitive skiing came into the picture a little later.

Where are you in 10 years? Hopefully skiing some real snow out west.

Your influences? I live above the influence.

How important is music for you in a skiing video? Music makes the video, sets the tone for the skiing.

What’s your favorite music track for a video part, if you could choose any? G-Code!

What’s your favorite Ski Movie ever and why? Strike three, such a throw back movie that I think I watched at least 100 times.

Favorite video part ever and why? Corey Vanular in Shanghai Six – back in his prime absolutely killing it.
